Woman-Buddha
A vivid metaphorical trilogy of inner transformation
“Woman-Buddha” is a series of three illustrated paintings, each reflecting the stages of awakening of a woman’s consciousness and spiritual power. Two central images: the Great Mother as the single feminine force in different states, guiding every woman on the planet; and a naked woman within a sphere — a symbol of the living core of the inner world, the manifest form of lived experience. The whole trilogy is a path from a cleansing flame to the opening and blossoming of the feminine spirit.

About the series
The idea for the trilogy of the Woman-Buddha’s states was born in 2024, when I lived on the island of Phangan (Thailand). It was a time of deeply living through feminine experience and healing — through connection with nature, work with women and holding Circles of Power. The series became a natural continuation of that path. Interestingly, the third work was finished almost a year and a half later — already in Cambodia, in Siem Reap. So the cycle closed not only in images, but within me. Each of the three paintings is a state. Engaging with the symbolism of these works, one can live one’s own initiation — from the fire of inner transformation to wholeness and spiritual clarity. The “Woman-Buddha” series is a completed stage of my life and artistic path, though I may well continue the idea itself in further “scenarios”.

Why “Woman-Buddha”?+
This name sounded every time I painted any work from the series. It is not connected with religion in the traditional sense. For me, Buddha is a state of awakened consciousness, clarity and inner wholeness, of stepping beyond human limitation into the Higher Self — where there is absolute knowing, the unity of all, the vision of one’s path, purity of states and total presence. And yet Buddha is one with the body — a connection of the spiritual and the material that creates harmony and balance in life. In these works I explore a woman’s path to herself — through purification, rebirth and union with the Power of Creation, with the unbending laws of the universe and the elements. So Buddha here is not the image of a deity, but a metaphor for the awakened nature of a woman. The parallel with the Buddha, as he is depicted, runs through the closed eyes of the Great Mother and the feeling of calm and peace. I wanted to show that not only men are spiritual teachers and guides — but a Woman too, in her true, often forgotten power.
